"I suppose a beer is out of the question", was how I ended my first phone call with Peter Grant. 1991, he was the new Staff Officer, Admin, Marine and I was Staff Officer Training. That statement made a friendship of thirty years. Pals on the other side of the world were like family, so, when we each returned to Britain that relationship deepened and our families came to know each other. Pete and I  have stood together through the great joys of life and those awful periods of grief. I will miss you my big Peterish brother more than words allow.
